Blogmas Day 18: Where are you guys from?

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas Day 18!! Can’t believe that we got this far! Today I’ll be posting up a few more posts to catch up in my Blogmas series. If you have kids that go to school then you know they’re on Winter Break, so I’ve been trying to be present to spend time with them and make it the best break they’ve had yet! 🙂

Since my Blogmas series has been sharing a lot of who I am with you guys, I decided this would be fun as there are so many bloggers out there.

Where are you all from? Do you still live where you were born?

My answer: I was born in Queens, New York and I currently live in Orlando, Florida.

I absolutely love New York and although I can’t see myself living there anymore due to the fast paced lifestyle versus Florida’s laid back lifestyle that I just got completely used to. I love the food there so much more as there is way more variety, but I do love Florida’s weather a lot more. The great thing is, a flight to New York from Florida is quite short and a road trip to New York is fun. 🙂 So, I actually feel like I get the best of both worlds.

Let me know in the comments where you guys are from!

Blogmas Day 17: How to: Look and Feel your best

Good morning and welcome back to Blogmas Day 17! I hope you guys are staying safe this holiday season and feeling your best despite this year’s obstacles that were thrown at us. Which brings me to today’s post. I’ll be giving you some tips on how to look and feel your best!

Throw on a cute outfit

Getting out of your usual clothes and actually wearing a put together outfit can instantly make you feel FANTASTIC. So, out with the t shirt and in with a super cute tunic, blouse or a cute sweater. You can still rock leggings for a comfy touch, but just changing your shirt to a fancier one makes all the difference. You can even opt out of wearing sneakers to a cute heeled bootie. 🙂 If you aren’t feeling any of that, then adding a few accessories to make your outfit pop is the way to go. Get ready for the compliments and “sleigh” the day.

Put a bit of makeup on

This is definitely optional and don’t worry, you should feel great with or without makeup, but if you’re anything like me then makeup makes you confidence. I love playing with different shades and overall just having that relaxing time to “paint” my face makes me feel fantastic!

Rock a bold lip color

I love doing a natural eye look with winged liner and a bold lip. Nothing says confident like a bold lip and who knows, maybe you’ll end up feeling your best.

Get a facial

Facials are great for so many reasons and who doesn’t want to relax and get pampered and walk out with the best looking and feeling skin you could possibly have? I know I do! Not only are you helping yourself, but you may be helping a small business out.

Drink tons of water

Drinking tons of water automatically boosts my mood and I’m not to sure why. Not only is it good for you, but your skin and hair will thank you a bunch by glowing! 🙂

Stress free is the way to be

If you’re like me and stress over the smallest situations then change now! If you can’t change it then is it really worth stressing? Always remember good comes after bad so now go out there and move on from stress! 🙂

What do you like to do to look and feel your best?

Blogmas Day 16: My New Years Resolutions

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas Day 16! I hope you guys are enjoying my Blogmas series as much as I am. I hope you guys are also able to learn a little bit more about me. If you aren’t caught up to some of my posts in my Blogmas series, no worries because it’ll be linked at the end of this blog post.

With the holidays quickly approaching, it also means a New Year is almost here. I know 2020 has been a crazy road for many of us for so many different reasons such as the pandemic, job losses, not being able to see family, being sick, etc… My heart goes out to all of you guys and hopefully next year is a better year for everyone.

For the year 2021 I have so many dreams and goals just as I do every year, but the number one thing on my list is to be a more understanding person than I was in 2020. This should also be on everyones list even if you don’t believe in making a New Year’s resolution list. I found out so much more about myself along with others in 2020. 2021 I want to take it upon myself to be even better at actually getting to know people. I’d like to have more conversations with people, understand different perspectives, and just overall have an effect on peoples lives for the better of course.

2020 has taught me to enjoy the simple things in life. It’s not always about keeping up with the latest trends, having the nicest items, etc… it’s about enjoying simple things like nature, comfy clothes, family. Being happy with just taking a short walk instead of driving to a fancy restaurant. Most importantly, it’s not about uploading every memory to Instagram, Facebook, etc… but about living in the moment and being Present.

Being a mommy of 3 means my body wasn’t as it was before having kids and that’s totally fine. I want to make sure I stress eating healthy and staying active whether it be to add more veggies and fruits in my diet, taking more frequent walks, eating dark chocolate instead of regular chocolate, etc…Even just drinking one more glass of water a day than I did this year is considered a win for me. The end goal is to STAY healthy.

This year has taught me about being patient and how important it is to do so. I’m human so being patient on some days is easier than others, but taking a deep breath first is essential. Haha.

I love traveling and something I’ve always wanted to do is learn a new language because it would be easier for me to communicate with people overseas. I took Spanish for 2 years in high school so I get the basics, but I’d love to learn Arabic. I think it would be awesome and besides who doesn’t want to learn a new language.

My last, but not final resolution is to plan more and be more organized which in my opinion is easier said than done. I’m a somewhat organized person when it comes to day to day life, but I think it would be great to have a planner and actually plan. Which is the total opposite of me, but now that I’m a mommy of 3 and a mommy to a little kitty (Zoey), I think it’s ok to start planning a bit. I also want to plan meals, I think it would make life easier by being able to know what to cook that night and actually having all the ingredients. Haha. If you know…you know.

So, cheers to this holiday season and cheers to a New Year ahead of us!

What is on your Resolutions list for 2021? Let me know in the comment section.

Blogmas Day 13: 6 Fast food places I love and what I order from them.

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas: Day 13! I love eating healthy for the most part, but who doesn’t like to eat some junk food once in a while? Today, I thought it would be fun to share what I get from some of my favorite fast food places.

1. McDonalds

Ba da ba ba ba i’m lovin’ it. I’m glad I had you singing. 🙂 Mcdonalds is of course a go-to for me. It’s fast, convenient and just delicious. Lol.

My order: Either a McChicken and of course fries or if I’m feeling extra hungry, I order a Crispy Buttermilk Sandwich by itself with an order of fries. For the drink, I love their sweet tea or sprite.

2. Steak and Shake

Ugh, I’m always up for this fast food place. I love how it looks inside and I especially love their burgers. Don’t forget to add a milkshake when you go to steak and shake.

My order: Double steak burger with cheese. Garlic and herbs on the fries and a nutella milkshake (I usually switch up my milkshakes from them depending on what i’m in the mood for)

3. Checkers

I love Checkers and they also have really good fries. Haha.

My order: Fry lover burger and fries. I still love munching on their fries even though there are fries already included in their burger. 🙂 Oh, and if you are able to get their ranch or honey mustard, it’s delicious with their fries. Yum!

4. PDQ

I’m not to sure if this counts as a fast food, but it’s fast food to me because it has a drive thru right? Haha.

My order: Honey butter chicken sandwich with fries and all the sauces

5. Pollo Tropical

I loveeeeee Pollo tropical’s food. It’s so good and so healthy for you depending on what you order. The options are endless.

My order: Tropichop with black beans and white rice. I love adding all the toppings and don’t forget to add cilantro garlic sauce because it’s seriously the best.

6. Chipotle

I saved the best for last of course. I love Chipotle for obvious reasons. The food is delicious, customer service is always great and they’re fast. I can get good food quickly? It’s a win for me.

My order: I love their bowls with chick and all the toppings except for the hot salsa. Of course you have to add guac for extra, but it’s ok with me! 🙂

I hope you guys try the foods that I order from these places.

What is your favorite fast food place?

Blogmas Day 12: How to relax despite the holiday madness.

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas day 12! As important as the holiday season is to me, I also think it’s quite important for every to take time for themselves to recuperate. If you’re anything like me then you stress pretty heavily during the holidays. I have to add a mile long list onto my already mile long list and then the pandemic adds even more stress.

With that being said, here are 5 inexpensive ways to get some relaxation in during this wonderfully amazing, stressful time of the year.

1. Kick back and watch a movie

This is my favorite one by far because who doesn’t love movies?! There’s seriously a movie for everyone. Grab your favorite snacks, put on your comfy pajamas, dim all the lights and light some candles instead to add to the relaxing vibe. Pour yourself a drink and call it a relaxing evening. This also requires you to be in the comfort of your own home (social distancing at its finest), doesn’t require you to spend money (extra bonus), and also allows for a good laugh (stress reduce). If you ask me, it’s a win/win.

2. Go shopping

Chances are that you’re already shopping for everyone else, so why not take that time to pick up something for yourself? Whether it be a splurge or something affordable, treat yourself. 🙂 Who knows, maybe you may pick up a new hobby. Haha.

3. Have a spa night in

This doesn’t put you at a convenience which is great, especially if you’re busy or have little ones of your own. Fill your bath tub and add your favorite bathtub, bubbles, etc… Grab a drink of your choice, light some stress relieving candles, dim the lights and take some time to actually relax.

4. Disconnect for an hour

Out of all, this is the easiest and most efficient one in my opinion. Sometimes technology takes over our lives so it’s important to disconnect for a moment. Whether it be a couple minutes, an hour or a couple days. Take this time to just go about your daily life without the distraction of technology. Go outside and actually breathe in some fresh air. Maybe look at the birds, clouds, flowers, etc… and take the time to appreciate nature.

Which one of these did you find helpful? Do you have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments below.

Blogmas Day 11: Motivating Quotes

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas day 11! I took a brief hiatus because sometimes we just need to live in the moment and that’s what I took a break for. 🙂 This past weekend, I wanted to disconnect from social media and take that time to enjoy my family’s company. This is the way I get away if I’m under a bit of stress. 🙂

Nonetheless, I’m back to continue Blogmas! Today, in order for me to catch up on Blogmas, I decided to post four posts today so that I’ll be able to catch up on Blogmas!

ABILITY is what you’re capable of doing, MOTIVATION determines what you do, ATTITUDE determines how well you do it.

A little progress each day adds up to big results.

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.

The key to success is to start before you are ready.

Never start a business to just make money. Start a business to make a difference.

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Life is to short to be working on someone else’s dream.

If you don’t build your dreams, someone will hire you to build their dreams.

Don’t worry about failure. You only have to be right once.

In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

I hope you found these quotes as motivating as I did! Go out there and make a difference. 🙂

Blogmas Day 10: Talkative Thursday

Hey guys and welcome back to Blogmas day 10! Since I want to use Blogmas to get to know you guys better, I decided to make today’s post more interactive. Let’s use the comment section to answer the question and have a great conversation.

The topic for today is Sweets because let’s face it, during the holidays we all like to indulge in some type of sweet treat.

What’s your favorite sweet treat during the holidays?

It could be one treat or multiple and if you have links to the recipe, it’s a bonus for all of us.

My answer: I love Chocolate chip cookies during the holidays and even year round. It tastes delicious with a glass of milk. My favorite brand would be the Nestle Toll house minis. It’s the right amount of chocolatey and the right amount of sweet. I also like soft baked cookies. The only hard cookie that I like is Oreos of course haha or the fudge striped cookies from Keebler. If you guys haven’t tried it then you seriously need to! It’s so good.

Another treat that I love is the Lindt chocolates with caramel on the inside. It’s so creamy and for some reason reminds me of the holiday season. Maybe it’s because the wrapper looks like an ornament. Haha

The last, but not final holiday treat that I look forward to is Cheese cake because you can never go wrong with a slice of cheesecake. 🙂

Hope you guys liked today’s question and if you have an answer, make sure to leave it in the comments below.

Blogmas Day 9: Gift Guide For: Her

Welcome to Blogmas day 9! I’m sure many of you may have women in your lives that you probably need a bit of help to shop for so I decided to create a gift guide for you! This way it saves you time.

Makeup

As a beauty blogger, of course I had to put makeup at the top of my list. Many people are scared to gift makeup, but remember, you can always just add a gift receipt in the gift box. 🙂 I’m sure they’d appreciate whatever you buy them.

A Pinterest Worthy cup

A cup? Lol you can spruce up a cup as a gift by adding a few goodies along with it. Maybe a gift card to their favorite coffee shop and if they don’t like coffee, then add a gift card to a tea spot. 🙂 You can even personalize their cup with their name or some of their favorite things. If they’re always on the go as I am, the Yeti cups are awesome and ensures your drink stays hot or cold for quite some time.

A gift card to a spa

Day to day life can get tough and to help the woman in your life, you can gift them a relaxation day. Book an appointment to their favorite spa, nail salon, hair salon, etc… I’m sure they’ll appreciate it! To take the gift to another level, maybe add a food gift card it to complete the experience.

A ring light

If the woman in your life loves taking selfies, shooting videos, etc… a ring light is the perfect gift for her. Not only does it ensure perfect lighting every time, but it also is super inexpensive. Great as a gift or add on to another gift.

Home chef meal

Home chef meals are awesome, with all the ingredients there and measured for your convenience, you can be on your way to making an easy, delicious meal. Who doesn’t want to have a few days of meals prepped already? You may even get lucky and be able to try out the food that was cooked! 🙂

Loungewear with matching fuzzy slippers

Who doesn’t like to be cozy? This is the safest, perfect gift for anyone. In addition to cute loungewear and fuzzy slippers, you can even add in a few nail polishes, a few snacks and a good movie or even a book. 🙂

I hope you guys found these ideas helpful! As always, don’t forget to like, comment, share and follow my blog for new posts every Tuesday and Friday EVERYDAY!

What are some items on your list that you’d like to be gifted? Let me know in the comment section below!
