Hey you! Welcome back to another post! I hope you guys had an amazing weekend and a wonderful Monday to follow. On today’s post, I thought it would be great to share some of my favorite OG products because with all the new products coming out, I think that the older products are getting overlooked. Keep in mind, I use many of these products on a daily basis because they’re just that good.
Without further ado, let’s get right into it.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless
This is the first drugstore foundation that I tried and actually fell in love with. When I first started my makeup journey in high school, I had VERY oily skin and this foundation definitely helped keep me matte all day long. I love the powder as well because it also helps to keep me matte while also providing the perfect amount of coverage. The shade range is awesome and I seriously hope they keep this line because it’s amazing.
Milani Baked Blushes
Go to your local drugstore and look for this blush and I guarantee you’ll say goodbye to your high end blushes. The formula on these blushes are amazing. It provides so much pigmentation and adds such a beautiful glow. Though these blushes aren’t “cream blushes”, they are really velvety and stay on so well. Two of my favorite shades are “luminoso” and “Rose ‘d’ oro”.
Loreal Telescopic Mascara
Hello spider lashes! Haha. I remember in high school I’d layer this mascara on and achieved spider lashes. Many years later, I now look back and laugh at those days. A little bit of this mascara goes a long way and I love that. The wand makes it so easy to get to all your lashes even your inner lashes and great for your lower lashes as well. The formula goes on easy and comes off great with a makeup remover and definitely a must try.
Morphe Eyeshadow palettes
Throwback to palettes with tons of different colors of shadows. The more the better as I always thought. These palettes are SO affordable for the amount of shadows you get. The formula is pigmented with minimal fallout and seriously even if you get one palette from them with neutrals, I guarantee you’ll go to it more then your high end palettes. These palettes used to be my go to for bronzer and highlighter as well as blush. I used to carry this huge palette every time I took my makeup on vacation haha. I thought I was conserving space, when in reality it was a huge palette. Haha
Elf Liquid Liner
This is still my go to liquid liner for many reasons. It’s affordable, a great point on this brush for precise lines, color choices are awesome, lasts a long time, even with daily wear and stays on well unless you rub it off. If you know me then you know I stand by this liner. I love high end liners to, don’t get me wrong, but for the price and decent quality of this, there’s no surprise that I’ve repurchased this liner countless times.
All Nighter Setting Spray
Ok, I know this is a high end product and it is pricey, but if you get the travel sized version of this setting spray then it becomes affordable because of how long it lasts. I usually get the original formula because I’ve tried the other versions they have, but I’m fine with the original. This spray is great for summers when you want to wear some makeup and not have it melt right off. I love that the spray comes out like a mist vs. your face feeling all gross and wet.
NYX Matte lip pencil
At a price point that’s under $5 there’s no surprise that this is on my list. NYX is such a great brand and all such affordable products. This product was the first that I’ve tried from NYX and I’m so glad that I did. I love that the product lasts so long and there is so much of it. I’ve even sometimes just took this lip pencil on vacation and just wore this by itself. I kid you not, it lasted alllll night. Through dinner as well. The formula on these lip pencils were built to last.
I love their shadows because the formula they use is awesome. When I first started my makeup journey, I used many of these single shadows. I loved that the glitter stayed intact and didn’t go all over my face makeup. They had so many to choose from and definitely a go to.
Essence Eyeshadow Primer
Ok, this was one of the “newer” products on the list, but still affordable and amazing. I think this primer is around $3 if even that. It keeps your eyeshadow intact so well and makes the eyeshadows literally pop on your lids. The colors become so vibrant and it’s such a great product for the price.
Real Technique brushes
I’m sure this brought a makeup memory for many of you. They seriously had and still have some amazing, affordable makeup brushes one can ask for. I love that they came out with sets that was labeled for Face, eyes, contour, etc… Just made life so much easier for those who needed a bit of help.
I hope you guys had just as much fun reading this post as I did creating it.
