Product Review: Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm (limited edition cherry) by “Farmacy”

Before, I get into today’s blog post, I’d like to say Happy Thanksgiving to you all from my family to yours. I know this year’s Thanksgiving was quite different than what we’re all used to, but hopefully you made the best of it and created unforgettable memories with friends, families, strangers, etc…. Now, with that being sad….

Let’s get into today’s review! 🙂

One word that describes my makeup style for the Holidays is “Glam” and skincare goes hand in hand with glam. When you’re ready to remove your makeup, you need something that’s going to get everything off. I think I have found that product!

Let me start off by saying that I’ve never tried anything by this brand before. I was actually gifted this and I’m so happy that I was because let’s just say I’m hooked.

Price

Price is a make it or break it for me. For a 3.4 ounce (100 ml) it is $34. I don’t think that’s a bad price at all considering not only are their beneficial ingredients in here, but also that this product will last a very long time. I’ve been using this product every night for a month now and my container is still really full. I would say you can get about a 4 month use on this product.

Packaging

The packaging is very clean and straight to the point. I love the pink and white combination. It’s such a soft pink and it gives a fresh, clean vibe which I love. I also think that the cherry detail is so cute.

Description

I’m not surprised that the cleansing balm was one of their best-selling products because it is that good. I am not a very big cherry scented fan because to me it smells like medicine haha. I can proudly say that this smells like a yummy cherry Icee and not medicine-like at all!!

Directions

The directions is pretty self explanatory if you’ve ever used a cleansing balm. Make sure you don’t use this on a damp face as it won’t work well at all.

Beneficial Ingredients (From Farmacy’s Website)

Key ingredients
– Natural Acerola Cherry: Contains antioxidant-rich vitamin C to help brighten, firm and hydrate skin.
– Sunflower and Moringa Seed Oils: Gently cleanse and nourish the skin for a glowing complexion.
– Moringa Extract: Lifts away dirt, grime and impurities from pollution so that skin stays younger, longer.
– Papaya extract: Gently exfoliates to help reveal a youthful glow.

All ingredients
Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Peg-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, Peg-10 Isostearate, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Glycerin, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Melia Azadirachta Bark Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Water/Aqua/Eau, Butylene Glycol, Disodium Phosphate, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid

Texture

This texture is very comparable to oil that has solidified. It’s not a very whipped texture, but it does melt very nicely. Farmacy also included a little spatula so you don’t spread the germs from your hands into the container which I absolutely appreciate them doing.

This is just about how much I use for my whole face. If I happened to wear waterproof makeup, I use just a bit more. So, remember a little goes a long way!

As you can see, this product melts into an oil pretty quickly without chunks. It’s very smooth and smells so yummy.

Is this brand clean?

This brand is…

  • Paraben Free
  • Formaldehyde Donor Free
  • Synthetic Fragrance Free
  • Phthalate Free
  • Mineral Oil Free
  • Cruelty Free

Final Thoughts?!

My final thoughts are that the $34 price tag on this product is totally worth it. The formula and ingredients are amazing. Being a mommy of 3, I love products that work pretty quickly as I’m always on a time crunch and this product does the job well. I also love this product because if you guys know me, then you know I rave all the time about coconut oil being an amazing makeup remover which I still stand by. However, this product does not leave you looking or feeling greasy which is so nice. So, I get the effectiveness, without the greasiness which is a win in my book. I love that this product will last a long time. For all my sensitive scented people, don’t worry, this product smells like cherry Icee, but a lot lighter which I love. It makes me want a fruit bowl after I’m done removing my makeup because of the scent. Haha.
