Hey beauty! How are you?! I just thought I’d update you guys on where I’ve been?! I’ve still been active on my social media accounts aside from WordPress of course. I like to take frequent breaks from my blog to keep my creative side pretty fresh. I love the drive and content that I post when my creative side comes out in full force!
Here’s some updates:
I turned 26 on August 16 and so blessed to see another year!
I’ve been cooking home meals a ton with the help of some amazing bloggers on Pinterest!
I’ve grown a love for revamping, refreshing, and decorating our home lately!
Those are all the updates I have for you! I decided that this time when I come back to my blog, I’ll go ahead and not set days that I’ll be posting blog, but instead aim to post at least once a week! Make sure to follow my social media accounts for daily stories, posts, etc… let’s stay connected 💕💕
Hey you! It seems if you clicked on this post then you may be in need of some Tuesday motivation! So, here’s some motivation for you. I hope you get inspired and do something great today or at least work towards something great. 🙂

Hey guys and happy Friday! I hope you guys are having a great week so far! I sure have and as you can tell by the title, I’ve been getting a bit experimental with my makeup for sure.
I was gifted the Morphe 35F FALL INTO FROST ARTISTRY PALETTE and it’s such a beautiful palette. The best part is that it’s only $25 to begin with. Super affordable, great formula, beautiful shades and perfect amount of glitter and matte shadows. So, I’ve been trying to use my palettes up before I purchase new ones because I’m trying to be less wasteful this year when it comes to my makeup collection.
As you all know, the Morphe palettes are huge…definitely not easy to get through it quickly. So, I started getting experimental. I wanted to test out the Brown shades for contouring and there was a warmer brown shade that was perfect to blend my contour out. I ended up seeing this gorgeous rosy shimmery shade and decided to use it as a blush and I was in awe at the outcome. After I discovered this, it’s all I’ve been using for the past couple weeks and I’m finally using these shades. I’ve also been using the golden/champagne shimmery shades as a highlight. They are so gorgeous and give off such a beautiful glow. All in all, I hope you guys get inspired to test out your makeup for different uses. For example, use a lipstick to double as a blush or color corrector. Use your eyeshadow as a highlight, and so on.
What makeup products do you like to use in more than one way?
Below is the look I created using the Morphe 35F palette and I’m seriously obsessed!

Hey you! Welcome back to another post! I hope you guys had an amazing weekend and a wonderful Monday to follow. On today’s post, I thought it would be great to share some of my favorite OG products because with all the new products coming out, I think that the older products are getting overlooked. Keep in mind, I use many of these products on a daily basis because they’re just that good.
Without further ado, let’s get right into it.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless
This is the first drugstore foundation that I tried and actually fell in love with. When I first started my makeup journey in high school, I had VERY oily skin and this foundation definitely helped keep me matte all day long. I love the powder as well because it also helps to keep me matte while also providing the perfect amount of coverage. The shade range is awesome and I seriously hope they keep this line because it’s amazing.
Milani Baked Blushes
Go to your local drugstore and look for this blush and I guarantee you’ll say goodbye to your high end blushes. The formula on these blushes are amazing. It provides so much pigmentation and adds such a beautiful glow. Though these blushes aren’t “cream blushes”, they are really velvety and stay on so well. Two of my favorite shades are “luminoso” and “Rose ‘d’ oro”.
Loreal Telescopic Mascara
Hello spider lashes! Haha. I remember in high school I’d layer this mascara on and achieved spider lashes. Many years later, I now look back and laugh at those days. A little bit of this mascara goes a long way and I love that. The wand makes it so easy to get to all your lashes even your inner lashes and great for your lower lashes as well. The formula goes on easy and comes off great with a makeup remover and definitely a must try.
Morphe Eyeshadow palettes
Throwback to palettes with tons of different colors of shadows. The more the better as I always thought. These palettes are SO affordable for the amount of shadows you get. The formula is pigmented with minimal fallout and seriously even if you get one palette from them with neutrals, I guarantee you’ll go to it more then your high end palettes. These palettes used to be my go to for bronzer and highlighter as well as blush. I used to carry this huge palette every time I took my makeup on vacation haha. I thought I was conserving space, when in reality it was a huge palette. Haha
Elf Liquid Liner
This is still my go to liquid liner for many reasons. It’s affordable, a great point on this brush for precise lines, color choices are awesome, lasts a long time, even with daily wear and stays on well unless you rub it off. If you know me then you know I stand by this liner. I love high end liners to, don’t get me wrong, but for the price and decent quality of this, there’s no surprise that I’ve repurchased this liner countless times.
All Nighter Setting Spray
Ok, I know this is a high end product and it is pricey, but if you get the travel sized version of this setting spray then it becomes affordable because of how long it lasts. I usually get the original formula because I’ve tried the other versions they have, but I’m fine with the original. This spray is great for summers when you want to wear some makeup and not have it melt right off. I love that the spray comes out like a mist vs. your face feeling all gross and wet.
NYX Matte lip pencil
At a price point that’s under $5 there’s no surprise that this is on my list. NYX is such a great brand and all such affordable products. This product was the first that I’ve tried from NYX and I’m so glad that I did. I love that the product lasts so long and there is so much of it. I’ve even sometimes just took this lip pencil on vacation and just wore this by itself. I kid you not, it lasted alllll night. Through dinner as well. The formula on these lip pencils were built to last.
I love their shadows because the formula they use is awesome. When I first started my makeup journey, I used many of these single shadows. I loved that the glitter stayed intact and didn’t go all over my face makeup. They had so many to choose from and definitely a go to.
Essence Eyeshadow Primer
Ok, this was one of the “newer” products on the list, but still affordable and amazing. I think this primer is around $3 if even that. It keeps your eyeshadow intact so well and makes the eyeshadows literally pop on your lids. The colors become so vibrant and it’s such a great product for the price.
Real Technique brushes
I’m sure this brought a makeup memory for many of you. They seriously had and still have some amazing, affordable makeup brushes one can ask for. I love that they came out with sets that was labeled for Face, eyes, contour, etc… Just made life so much easier for those who needed a bit of help.
I hope you guys had just as much fun reading this post as I did creating it.

Hey guys and welcome back to another post! I decided to share why I started blogging. Originally, I was going to post details of a bold look of the day, but with everyone thing going on with America right now, I decided we need to spread a little inspiration and motivate. I love reading these types of post because it’s not only relatable sometimes, but it can also be the encouragement or inspiration someone may have been waiting for to chase their dreams.
So, flashback to 2013 I was in my senior year of highschool and I absolutely loved Youtube. One of my favorite Youtubers then was DulceCandy and she’s seriously still my favorite. Her channel was all about makeup, fashion and she is seriously so down to earth. Her videos were so personable and it felt like you were having a girls night. It inspired me to start a Youtube Channel which everyone thought I was insane for doing, but despite that, I still did it and loved it. After high school I ended up falling off of Youtube and deleted my Youtube Channel. I thought it was a phase and although it was I learned about Blogging.
Now, the funny thing is I hate reading and writing in school, but I guess I was really good at it. I realized how creative I was and decided to give blogging a try. I loved that you didn’t have to film and edit and wait for the upload. I loved that blogging requires you to just write and post. I began officially blogging in 2016. I got married, had a baby and my purpose for my blog was to inspire everyone. I wanted to let other mamas know that you can still look and feel great even after having kids. Overtime, my blog changed a bit. I started posting traveling content, lifestyle and beauty and realized my blog wasn’t based on only beauty anymore. It’s more on the lifestyle end. So, I decided to get rid of that blog all together and begin this one.
In 2020 I launched my blog “Theoneandonlyaleeya” and I named it that because I wanted to keep it general. This way I’m able to switch up my content to what I want to post. I was inspired to start this blog as many bloggers reasons were. The most important one would be to escape everyday life and for my blog to give off a vibe that you’re talking to your best friend. I think it’s important for everyone to have someone to just be able to talk to without being judged and that’s what I’m here for. To be able to share a bit of my life: Beauty, Lifestyle, Inspire, Trends and most importantly connect with you guys.
If you guys enjoyed this post, make sure to like, comment and share this post to anyone that may love it or find it helpful. I hope that I can inspire at least one person to chase their dreams today! Be sure to follow my blog for new posts every Tuesday and Friday at 11 AM ET

Happy Tuesday guys! I hope your new year is going great this far and I also hope you guys found my Morning skincare routine helpful! Today, I decided to share with you my super easy night skincare routine because it’s even more important in my opinion then my morning skincare routine. While you sleep, your body is healing and repairing itself. So, it’s very important to take a few minutes for your skincare routine.
Step 1: Remove Makeup
I’m sure you heard a million times that going to sleep in makeup is the worst thing ever! Lol. It really is. Think about your pores soaking in all the makeup, dirt and oil from the day and it results in clogged pores which result in terrible skin. It takes a minute to remove your makeup so I suggest you just do it. Your skin will reward you by being bright, clean and definitely more clear then if you were to not remove your makeup. To remove my makeup, I just take a bit of the Farmacy Meltaway and it seriously does the job. It takes away any waterproof makeup that you may have had on that day as well.
Step 2: Cleanse
I use Aveeno Brightening Facial cleanser which is the same face wash as I do in the morning and I absolutely love it. It gives a beautiful glow to your skin as if you drank tons of water and it also leaves your skin less texturized which is also really nice. I apply this cleanser with my fingers and work it in for about 30 seconds to a minute.
Step 3: Exfoliate
I exfoliate my skin every night and that’s just what works for me. I don’t recommend this unless you know your skin can handle it. I use the Aveeno 60-second in-shower facial and I absolutely love this product. It takes the glow to another level and it also gets rid of any dead skin that may be on your face. If you want to give your skin a treat, I apply this onto any silicone facial brush and work it in that way. It feels so nice on my skin. I also recommend silicone for the reason that it’s easier to clean and holds less germs which is always nice.
Step 4: Pat Dry
I include this in my night skincare routine because it is important not to be rough on your skin by wiping your face dry. I notice that patting my face dry with a microfiber towel not only leaves my skin feeling nice, but it also doesn’t take away all the moisture and leave it red and irritated.
Step 5: Tone
After all the cleansing, it’s time to put back good oils and balance our Skin’s PH levels out. I use witch hazel as a toner and I just apply it on a cotton round and rub it on my face. Gently of course.
Step 6: Moisturize
I keep my moisturizing simple. I use the Watermelon sleep mask by Glow and pat it on my face. This stuff is seriously amazing and cools your face down, moisturizes it and smells so yummy! That’s all that I use for moisturizer in the night because I like to make sure I keep it pretty simple.
Step 7: Water and Sweet Dreams
Before heading to bed, I love drinking a glass of water and going straight to bed. I find that whenever I do this, not only does my skin feel and looks good, but my body also thanks me too!
What is a must-have skincare product that you need for your night routine?

Happy New Year’s everyone and cheers to having the best skin you could possibly have this year. Good skin will never be just a trend for me. I’m not saying my skin is perfect because it’s really not, but it’s definitely better than it was a couple years back. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing the products that I use for my Morning Skincare routine and hopefully this helps you guys. 🙂
My Skin Type
My skin is considered combo/oily. I’m normal in all areas of my face, with an exception of my T-zone. I have existing acne scarring which causes texture to my cheek area. I also have puffiness under my eyes which sucks, but usually happens when I wake up in the morning.
Keeping it simple
Everyday life gets busy, but I make sure to set 5 minutes aside for my skincare routine and this has helped because I’m not just doing every step fast and lathering on creams, but actually taking my time and making sure the products are soaking up and working into my skin. Another way I keep my skincare routine simple is by making sure to use the least amount of products because I don’t know about you, but with to many products you may skip a step. 🙂 With all this being said, let me share my skincare routine with you!
Step 1: Cleanse
When I cleanse in the morning, I use the Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser and I just work this into my skin using my fingers. Because my skin is already pretty much cleansed from the night before, this does the trick.
Step 2: Pat Dry
Make sure you pat your face versus wiping your face harshly. This way you won’t irritate it. I also noticed that instead of using a regular towel, give a microfiber towel a try. It doesn’t soak up all the moisture this way your face isn’t drying and feeling tight.
This is important to get your pH levels on your skin back in order and also to help ensure all your gunk is off of your skin. I personally use witch Hazel because it’s affordable and works. I apply it onto my face using a cotton round and let it dry which doesn’t take long at all.
Step 4: Hydration
Hydrating your face after you just stripped your skin from some of the oils is a must. You will also be treating your face, but remember not only is the right skincare important, but also the techniques that you use. I make sure to always tap in my products very gently onto my face. I also make sure to only use a little bit of product at a time this way I don’t over apply creams which is just as bad as under using creams.
I love using the Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer with SPF after cleansing my skin because it is lightweight, but also moisturizing and it has SPF! Make sure your moisturizer for the daytime has SPF because it’s so important to protect your skin from the UV rays. Make sure to Tap the product in.
After I apply this, I go in with an eye cream which is just as important. I love the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream because it’s not only so hydrating, but it smells so yummy and awakening. If you remember earlier when I mentioned my concerns for my eye area was puffiness, it definitely helps with depuffing. Make sure to tap this in. I tap this in with my ring finger so it’s less pressure under my delicate on my eye area.
That’s all that I do for my morning routine. Once all the products dry on my skin, I go ahead and do my makeup routine and head out the door. I only used 4 products and that’s it. On top of that, all my products are from the drugstore with the exception of the Origins Eye cream, but it’s so worth it and works well on me.
That concludes my morning skincare routine! See you guys on Tuesday!
Have you tried any of these products?

Good morning everyone and welcome back to my regular posting schedule of Tuesday and Friday at 11 AM eastern time! It feels so weird not to say welcome back to Blogmas day __ and I’m sure many of you feel the same way. Today, I decided to keep today’s post still revolving around the New Years and holiday cheers because we all need it after the year we’ve had. On Friday, I’ll be reviewing an awesome product and sharing my skincare routine. 🙂
First and foremost before I get into todays post, I wanted to say Merry Christmas to you guys and I hope you all had such an amazing day..full of laughter, happy tears, great food, family and company to surround you all on this day. Though this year is different, I hope you guys got creative while of course still remained socially distant. Hopefully Christmas 2021 will be a lot better for everyone.
For Christmas, we woke up extra early and opened tons of presents with our kids and family and just seeing the happiness in their faces was absolutely priceless. We took a little road trip and spent the weekend relaxing which was well needed after this crazy holiday rush.
Now we look forward to New Years. What are some traditions you have for the New Years or even before we ring in the New Year? I’ll list some of our traditions.
- We usually try to take down our Christmas decorations a week or so before New Years. As much as I love the cheery decor, I love when my home is all put together and organized. Haha. It’s like a reset for the New Year.
- On New Years eve we like to make sure to spend time with family and reminisce on the year, share some of resolutions for the New Year.
- We also like to watch the Ball drop in Manhattan through the television of course. I love how fun it is and the vibes are amazing to end the New Year with.
- Of course, we have to get one last family selfie for 2020. 🙂
- When New Year is rung in we love cheering, making tons of noise and of course lots of hugs and kisses.
These are some of our family traditions for Old Years and New Years. What are some traditions you guys have? I’d love to know so maybe I can start a new tradition with my family. 🙂
